Wisdom – don’t push your internal supply organization too hard

When internal IT Service organizations offer the same service for a higher price than external suppliers, of course, you still can expect the lower/competitive prices from them …. However, its play money and at the end you AND your IT Services supply together should make sure that not to much money is spend to externals from a company point of view.

You better support your internal IT organization to increase it’s utilization and increase it’s efficiency.

Once, all synergies are exploit you should think of further approaches to optimize your IT environment such as cloud computing, software-as-a-service or outsourcing activities.
